The spew of Propaganda
I came across this article the other day:
https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2022/04/05/this-38-year-old-makes-160000-per-month-in-passive-income-and-only-works-5-hours-a-week-now.html
It came, of course, from Google, the big ‘wolf in sheep's clothing’ when it comes to the art of propaganda unless you happen to see through the art. But whether you see it or don't, it makes no difference - it is.
Why do we attach so great importance to money? Is it because we need to be constantly occupied to get it? Is it because we are that inwardly impoverished we need to go to great nourishing lengths to accumulate more and more of it, such as the monthly sum cited in the article?
All these questions - and more - could easily be raised but no one likes to admit the truth which would mean facing up to the way things, not just are, but really are. The common term for this is ‘what is.’
The guy in the article, despite the mug shot of his happy smiley face, must be so burdened or oppressed by the accredited sum that it will be doing untold damage to his psychosis in terms of worry, dementia, neurosis, even if he's unaware of them - lurking deeply in his consciousness.
How do l know this, you may ask? Or even how dare you to propose to suggest how he may be feeling about his so-called newfound ‘wealth?’
Because I've been there. Not in terms of the guy's monthly amount but in terms of my own accumulation - a large proportion of which is sitting stagnating in my bank account in England, and l still accumulate more from my ongoing salary. I accumulate more than l can spend because my living requirements are minuscule. Sure, unlike the guy, l don't have a family to support, but $160,000 a month is more than enough.
Really, all one needs is a roof over one's head, clothing and sustenance.
A few months ago, l discovered some debit card fraud from my main bank account which, of course, is liable to happen if you don't take adequate protective measures to safeguard it. I had the card cancelled. The hacker has tried to get into my PayPal account because l have a bit in there. The bogus emails l received - noted.
But you can imagine the stomach-lurching neurosis, not to mention paranoia, the disorder in my psychosis all this caused when l immediately discovered the fraud and bogus emails.
And the stress, another pattern of suffering and burden that came about when l had a host of valuables stolen while travelling in Italy, was unimaginable!
So, what's the answer?
A meditative state which is neither contrived - choiceless awareness; attention or attentiveness which must immediately deal with the problem on an ongoing basis. When the problem because of self'-centred activity immediately arises something active must equally and immediately arise which will deal with or dissolve the problem.
An accumulation of money won't solve our problems which along with suppression, sublimation, assertion or denial, are mere cover-ups; escapes from what is.
Actually, it's not a matter of how little or how much of something such as money you may have but to be free of the burden it brings.
